Working at Carpenter & MacNeille

People at C&M are self-motivated, independent thinkers who also enjoy the benefits of working with an extensive team of in-house talent and the support of a unified administration. We have built a team of architects, interior designers, carpenters, cabinetmakers, project managers, and administrative professionals by upholding an environment of mutual respect and shared devotion to our crafts.  We are always searching for new talent and welcome general inquiries throughout the year.

Trolley Barn Life

Our main studio, offices, and woodshop are carved from the historic brick walls of a converted 19th-century trolley barn in scenic Essex, MA.

Our staff has richly varied backgrounds, interests, and skills, and there's a strong sense of community built from the open working environment. While C&M is large enough to support five service departments, we have retained the approachable and inviting aspects of smaller run shops. Employees are encouraged to participate in an annual business meetings and everyone has the opportunity to talk directly to leadership throughout the year.  In addition to our creative and welcoming environment, C&M offers robust health, retirement, and benefits packages and always tries to find new ways to elevate the quality of life for our team -- company lunch breaks, summer outings with our families, education/professional development, and more.

Carpenter & MacNeille provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
