(2014) With original 1899 blueprints in hand, the C&M team performed a complete interior and exterior renovation of this grand Georgian style home located on Boston’s North Shore. The goal was to improve antiquated, under-used spaces for contemporary family life while still maintaining historic character and the classical proportions and details of the original design. The top-down, three-phase approach was skillfully structured to allow the clients to live comfortably in the home throughout much of the design-build process. Just some of the elegant new spaces include a third floor children’s suite, a gracious second floor master, a new kitchen and family room, a home theater and the addition of a new freestanding, 3-bay garage with fitness studio.
